(SOW) is a document used in the Systems Development Life Cycle. A software vendor or services company will send a SOW to notify a client of work about to be undertaken and agreed pricing. It is a brief summary of financial aspects of a contract; the technical details should have already been flushed out by this stage, but is not always the case.
