The PCI Security Standards Council has assumed responsibility for the Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) program previously operated separately by MasterCard Worldwide. All new and renewing ASVs must enroll directly with the Council, as MasterCard has terminated its program as of October 27, 2006.
